Low Profile SRDL (Argos)

Our Low Profile SRDL provides detailed individual dive and haulout records but dispenses with the speed sensor and large D-cell of our standard SRDL and is particularly suited to smaller polar species or shorter deployments. SMRU Low Profile SRDL isomorphic representation

Features

  • Data relayed and locations computed using the global Argos satellite system
  • Relays an unbiased sample of detailed individual dive records
  • Sensors include depth, temperature and wet/dry

TDR capability

  • Retains a continuous record of depth and temperature readings (4 sec sample rate), which can be retrieved by bluetooth link if the tag is recovered.

  • Longevity: potentially up to two years.
    The battery of AA cells used in the Low Profile SRDL can provide up to 60,000 Argos uplinks
  • Size: 102 x 72 x 4 mm
