Bespoke Bio-logging

We like to work closely with our end users to understand each application or deployment and tailor our hardware and software appropriately. All tags share an ultra low-power architecture that can:

adaptively sample a variety of sensors;
combine sensor data into detailed dive records to an accuracy of c.20cm;
efficiently schedule data transmissions;
operational temperature range from -20° to 50° C.

Optional Additions

Specialised wet/dry sensors enabling operation in both fresh and sea water.
An optional reinforced battery housing means your tag can operate to depths of 2000m.
Complete raw data can be downloaded from recovered tags via Bluetooth.
Smaller form factors available based on C or AA cell batteries

All SMRU tag data are available to the user via a secure web access portal. These data can be downloaded and visualised in time and space using our freely-available MamVisAD software.
