General Information
My research interests concern the behavioural ecology and ecophysiology of marine top predators. My PhD project is part of a study looking at the foraging strategies of grey seals in an experimental set-up.
I am looking at how different prey species, prey densities, dive depth and foraging effort affect the diving behaviour in grey seals. Our results are used to test and modify current diving models, provide a framework for the analysis of natural diving behaviour to assess foraging success and to examine aspects of prey selection to inform models of functional responses.
